| Summary, etc. | En dénonçant toute personne qui finit « par dévaster la contrée qui lui sert de demeure et par la rendre inhabitable », alors que l'être humain qui est « vraiment civilisé agit tout autrement », Élisée Reclus (1830-1905), partisan d’une « mésologie » articulée à une « géographie sociale », dessine son projet géographique de l’habiter entre éthique, esthétique et politique : coexistence et diversité des vivants (être humains, plantes et animaux…), dépassement du couple nomadisme/sédentarité, humains considérés comme des « agents géologiques » mais devant désormais « travailler avec méthode à l’aménagement de la terre ». |
