| Summary, etc. | Les données récentes du recensement fédéral donnent à voir l’image d’une nouvelle vague hispanique débordant des Etats du sud et du sud ouest sur l’ensemble du pays, prenant une forme diffuse, complexe et intervenant aux différentes échelles (régionale, métropolitaine, locale). L’objet de cet article est d’interroger les forces à l’œuvre dans ce mouvement. La figure de la dispersion nous paraît éclairante dans la compréhension de modes relativement inédits de résidentialisation, loin des schémas explicatifs des écoles de Chicago et Los Angeles. Elle met en lumière des formes émergentes de territorialité et des rapports sociaux à l’espace multiples et fractionnés, dépendant à la fois de stratégies migratoires individuelles et collectives, d’identités transnationales en recomposition et de nouvelles pratiques de l’espace local. |

| Summary, etc. | Recent US Census data show a new Hispanic wave overflowing from the South and Southwest states, characterized by a complex sprawling form operating at different scales (State, metropolitan, local). The purpose of this paper is to question the processes at work. The sprawl figure helps to understand new modes of housing, from a far different stance that the traditional Chicago and L. A. schools’analysis. It highlights both emergent forms of territoriality and diverse fragmented social relationships to space, which greatly depend on individual and collective migratory strategies, trans-national identities and new social practices of local space. |
