| Summary, etc. | Homère privilégie deux types de héros : celui d’Achille dans l’ Iliade, qui magnifie le combat à mort et a fait bien des émules au cours de l’histoire, et puis celui qu’incarne Ulysse dans l’ Odyssée où le héros s’illustre en déjouant les obstacles qu’il rencontre sur la route du retour vers son lieu d’origine. D’un côté nous avons une lutte duelle qui certes entraîne la notoriété, mais provoque la destruction de l’une des deux parties en présence, et de l’autre, un combat de tous les instants du héros pour sauver sa vie et retrouver sa place dans la cité. Le premier privilégie le regard et se soumet aux exigences du paraître, le second au contraire s’en prend d’abord à l’œil qui le domine et en démonte les rouages pour se donner un nom. Le processus adolescent participe de ces deux parcours à la fois, et suppose le dégagement progressif de l’emprise du voir qui fait miroiter l’idéal. En se référant à diverses œuvres littéraires, l’auteur montre à quelles conditions cette évolution est possible. |

| Summary, etc. | From tragic hero to ordinary heroHomer favors two kinds of hero : the hero like Achilles in the Iliade, who glorifies mortal combat and has had many imitators throughout history, and the kind embodied by Ulysses in the Odyssey, in which the hero proves himself by thwarting the obstacles he meets on his way back to his place of origin. On the one hand, we have a struggle between two which, though it certainly brings notoriety, causes the destruction of one of the two parties involved ; on the other hand, we have the hero’s ceaseless combat to save his life and find his place in the city. The first gives precedence to the gaze and is submitted to the requirements of appearances ; the second, on the contrary, first goes after the eye which holds sway over him and takes it apart in order to give himself a name. The adolescent process takes part in theses two discourses at the same time, and presupposes a gradual disengagement from the mastery of sight which reflects back the ideal. Referring to different literary works, the author shows the conditions that make possible this evolution. |

De un lado tenemos una lucha dual que trae consigo una notoriedad pero provoca la destrucción de una de las dos partes presentes. Del otro lado el combate de todos los instantes del héroe para salvar su vida y encontrara su lugar en la ciudad. El primero privilegia la mirada y se somete a las exigencias de la imagen ; contrariamente al segundo quién combate a los ojos que lo dominan y descompone los mecanismos para darse un nombre. El proceso adolescente participa a la vez de esos dos caminos y supone el desprendimiento progresivo de la dominación del ver que hace ambicionar el ideal. Haciendo referencia a diversas obras literarias el autor muestra a que condiciones es posible esta evolución. |
