| Summary, etc. | Le triennio jacobin a été étudié le plus souvent comme un exemple de « révolution passive », par rapport au modèle français conçu comme une révolution « active » par excellence. Cependant, l’historiographie française est aujourd’hui beaucoup plus prudente à ce sujet et le schéma d’une révolution-modèle tend à reculer. Dans cet article il est donc question d’une remise au point du cadre comparatif dans son ensemble sur la base des nouvelles acquisitions historiographiques, pour essayer de reformuler le rapport entre expérience italienne et Révolution française. |

| Summary, etc. | The Jacobin triennio has mostly been studied as an example of “passive revolution”, compared to the French model seen as an “active” revolution par excellence. French historiography, however, has to-day become much more cautious on the issue and the concept of a model revolution has lost ground. The object of this article is thus to reappraise in toto the comparative framework in the light of new historical findings and attempt to reformulate the relationship between the Italian experience and the French Revolution. |
