| Summary, etc. | Depuis une trentaine d'années, le territoire allemand s'est considérablement transformé. À la classique division entre une RFA polycentrale et une RDA très centralisée a succédé le big bang territorial des années 1990-2000, caractérisé par la fusion des deux Allemagne et l'accouchement dans la douleur d'un pays inédit. Aujourd'hui, bien des contraintes ont été surmontées mais des différences socio-économiques demeurent entre la partie occidentale et la partie orientale du pays. Cela dit, le schéma de division territoriale classique entre l'Ouest et l'Est du pays laisse progressivement la place, dans la dernière décennie (2010-2020), à un schème d'organisation de type concurrentiel bien plus complexe qui exploite les atouts ou au contraire les faiblesses des territoires à toutes les échelles, nationale, régionale, infra-régionale et locale. Cet article dresse un bilan de trente ans de transformations territoriales en Allemagne. |

| Summary, etc. | The development of the German territory since 1990 : from homogeneity to disparityOver the past 30 years, the German territory has changed considerably. The classic division between a polycentric FRG and a highly centralized GDR has been followed by the territorial big bang of the years 1990-2000, characterized by the merger of the two Germanies and the painful birth of a new country. Today, many constraints have been overcome but socio-economic differences remain between the western and eastern parts of the country. That said, the classic territorial division pattern between the West and East of the country is gradually giving way, in the last decade (2010-2020), to a much more complex competitive type of organisation scheme that exploits the strengths or, on the contrary, the weaknesses of the territories at all levels, national, regional, infra-regional and local. This article takes stock of thirty years of territorial transformations in Germany. |

| Summary, etc. | Zusammenfassung Die territorial Entwicklung Deutschlands seit 1990: Von einem homogenen zu einem heterogenen RaumIn den letzten 30 Jahren hat sich das deutsche Territorium erheblich verändert. Auf die klassische Trennung zwischen einer polyzentrischen BRD und einer hochzentralisierten DDR folgte der territoriale Urknall der Jahre 1990-2000, der durch den Zusammenschluss der beiden deutschen Staaten und die schmerzhafte Geburt eines neuen Landes gekennzeichnet war. Heute sind viele Beschränkungen überwunden, aber die sozioökonomischen Unterschiede zwischen dem westlichen und dem östlichen Teil des Landes bestehen nach wie vor. Das klassische Muster der territorialen Aufteilung zwischen dem Westen und dem Osten des Landes weicht jedoch im letzten Jahrzehnt (2010-2020) allmählich einem viel komplexeren Organisationsschema des Wettbewerbs, das die Stärken oder im Gegenteil die Schwächen der Gebiete auf allen Ebenen - national, regional, infra-regional und lokal - ausnutzt. Dieser Artikel zieht eine Bilanz von dreißig Jahren territorialer Transformationen in Deutschland. |
