| Summary, etc. | Le monde latin tardo-antique a rencontré des difficultés à s’approprier la diversité des théories visuelles grecques. L’impression reste qu’au brouillage conceptuel s’ajoute l’imprécision lexicale. La synthèse néoplatonicienne qui assimile la lumière platonicienne au diaphane aristotélicien provoque une confusion entre brillance et transparence. Saint Augustin présente la vision comme un acte orienté de l’œil à l’objet. Ensuite apparaît un deuxième mouvement de la vision, de l’objet vers l’œil. Jean Scot Erigène, inspiré par les Pères grecs, ne crée certes pas un lexique scientifique, mais réussit à élaborer un lexique unifié et structuré, entièrement tourné vers l’expression de la théologie du Dieu-lumière. |

The impression remains that conceptual confusion responds to lexical imprecision. The Neoplatonic synthesis that assimilates the Platonic light to the Aristotelian diaphanous causes confusion between brilliance and transparency. St. Augustine presents vision as an act directed from the eye to the object. Then, the Latin authors add a second movement of vision, from the object to the eye. John Scottus Eriugena, inspired by the Greek Fathers, certainly does not create a scientific lexicon, but succeeds in elaborating a unified and structured lexicon, entirely turned towards the expression of the theology of God light. |

| Summary, etc. | Die spätantike lateinische Welt hatte Schwierigkeiten, sich die Vielfalt der griechischen visuellen Theorien anzueignen. Der Eindruck bleibt, dass konzeptuelle Verwirrung mit lexikalischer Ungenauigkeit gekoppelt ist. Die neoplatonische Synthese, die das platonische Licht der aristotelischen Transparenz angleicht, verursacht eine Verwirrung zwischen Brillanz und Transparenz. Der hl. Augustinus präsentiert die Vision als einen vom Auge auf das Objekt gerichteten Akt. Dann erscheint eine zweite Sichtbewegung vom Objekt bis zum Auge. Johannes Scotus Eriugena, inspiriert von der griechischen Väter, schafft sicherlich kein wissenschaftliches Lexikon, aber es gelingt ihm, ein einheitliches und strukturiertes Lexikon zu entwickeln, das sich ganz dem Ausdruck der Göttliches Licht Theologie. |
