| Summary, etc. | Alors que jusqu’à aujourd’hui l’historiographie normande faisait une place prédominante au Maître de l’Échevinage de Rouen, la découverte d’un nouvel artiste rouennais, le Maître de l’Arsenal, témoigne de la diversité de la production enluminée à Rouen au xve siècle. Cet enlumineur à l’identité stylistique bien marquée, qui allie subtilement précision et suggestion, habileté et maladresse, atteste l’activité d’ateliers modestes, à la fois en charge du décor marginal et des miniatures. |
