| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | The clash between green capitalism and ecosocialist alternatives is more tangible than ever and can be interpreted as a confrontation between an attempt to integrate the ‘values’ of nature into the capitalist mode of accumulation, on the one hand, and resistance to the ontology of the market, its pace and its rationality, on the other. In this article, the author returns to the roots of this opposition, starting with the debate on socialist calculation between Otto von Neurath and Hayek, and putting this debate in perspective with more recent neoclassical attempts to model the risks and costs of ecological disaster, with the emblematic case of Nordhaus. Based on the notion of incommensurability, the possibility of post-capitalist and non-technomanagerial ecological planning is discussed, in conjunction with the contributions of ecofeminist theories on the imperative of economic re-evaluation. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. |
