| Summary, etc. | L’espace est un des supports des activités sociales parce que s’y sédimentent des conceptions de l’action, conceptions qui offrent des prises aux individus pour concevoir leur propre travail. Cet article s’intéresse aux argumentations que développent les acteurs économiques à propos de leurs activités et de leur localisation ; il les rapporte à des représentations de la ville. L’enquête est conduite au Havre et à Marseille, qui ont toutes deux fait l’objet de programmes de réaménagement : Port 2000 dans un cas, Euroméditerranée dans l’autre. Ces projets offrent un temps de réflexion pour les acteurs locaux et permettent l’expression de rapports de force entre diverses conceptions de l’espace. L’analyse lexicale d’un corpus d’entretiens permet de cartographier les représentations des acteurs économiques en les considérant comme des mondes lexicaux. On prend également la mesure des effets de la géographie sur l’organisation et la mobilisation des conceptions de l’espace et de l’action. |

| Summary, etc. | In the long run, various conceptions of actions are deposited like sediments into the urban space, so that it can be considered as a medium of social activities. In cities, economic actors always find holds to elaborate their activities. This research deals with the links between the social representations economic actors have of their location, their argumentations about their activities and urban redevelopment projects in two specific settings : Euroméditerranée in Marseille and Port 2000 in Le Havre. In that perspective, economic development projects are analysed as a moment of reflectiveness during which different conceptions of the use of spaces compete. A lexical analysis of a corpus of interviews makes possible a mapping of the social representations used in the argumentation of economic actors, and the impact of different geographical locations on the organization and mobilization of the social conceptions of space and action. |
