520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. A major Hellenistic funerary stele restored at Kyme in Aeolis (Turkey)During the excavations of the south-eastern necropolis in Kyme (Aeolis) conducted by the Italian Archaeological Mission in 2007, a funerary stele missing its left part was discovered. Careful study has allowed identification of the missing part with the fragment of a stele found at the site in the 1950s or 60s. Reunited, the funerary relief is one of the largest and most complex of the Hellenistic period found in Asia Minor. Its originality lies in the number of persons represented (a woman, two men and five servants) and in the abundance of iconographic elements related to the representation of status and the funerary sphere.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
