520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The early adoption of Roman building ceramics for Northeastern Gaul can be noticed on the oppidum of Bibracte since the middle of the 1st century BC. The petrographical analysis of these materials (macroscopic and microscopic examinations) is based on the setting of a corpus gathering more than ten thousand remains. It allows us to address the issue of the origins of natural resources used to produce these materials. The implementation of building ceramics on the oppidum of Bibracte particularly mobilises local resources in a Romanisation context easing new know-how to be transmitted. The integration of some of the Aedui elites to the Roman ways of life seems to support the early presence of organised workshops nearby. However, some materials seem to be the results of specific orders initiated and sponsored by these elites.
