520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Greek Architecture Chronicle (2009-2010)Of the four monographs analysed in this chronicle, two are new studies of the ruins of prestigious temples, already published before the second world war: the temple of Apollo in Delphi, in its 4th cent. bc stage, and the diptera of the Hieron at Samos, in its second stage, starting in the 6th cent. bc. They are different but they share extreme attention to technical details, supported by elegant and lavish illustration. These studies are intended for specialists, whereas the third book, also richly illustrated, aims to present Greek and Roman building techniques to a larger readership. The fourth monograph is aimed at a well-informed audience: it deals with building technology in a comparative view, covering all ancient architecture in the Mediterranean basin, but with a less refined illustration than that of the other three monographs.
