| Summary, etc. | La réforme agraire péruvienne a été une des plus importantes d’Amérique latine. Les réformateurs ont choisi de privilégier les formes collectives de production, en s’inspirant en particulier des pays de l’Est. Ces formes collectives n’ont en général duré que peu de temps, à quelques exceptions près, en particulier celle des grandes unités d’exploitation sucrières, sur le littoral, et d’élevage, dans la cordillère. Dans les années 1990, ces dernières coopératives ont finalement été forcées à un processus de transformation, ayant pour objectif final leur privatisation, mais aboutissant en réalité à une grande diversité de situations, en fonction des conditions locales. Les nouvelles entreprises s’adaptent aux changements du contexte économique et politique national et mondial, non seulement lorsqu’elles sont gérées par des actionnaires privés, mais également lorsque les travailleurs ont réussi à en conserver le contrôle. |

| Summary, etc. | The last large cooperatives in Peru face up to privatization Agrarian reform in Peru has been one of the most far-reaching in Latin America. The reformers decided to prioritize collective systems of production, drawing inspiration particularly from the countries of Eastern Europe. These collective systems generally lasted only a short time, apart from a few exceptions, especially that of the large-scale sugar plantations along the coast, and stock rearing, on the cordillera. These last cooperatives were finally forced into a transformation process in the 1990s, the ultimate objective being their privatization. In reality, however, this led to a great diversity of situations, depending on local conditions. The new businesses are adapting to changes in the national and global economic and political context, whether private shareholders are governing them or labour forces where they have succeeded in maintaining control. |
