| Summary, etc. | Quel est le statut de réalité attribué aux images visionnaires obtenues sans prise de psychotropes ? Comment la fabrication d’artefacts façonne-t-elle l’expérience visionnaire ? Quelles sont les intersections entre le voir et le croire ? Le point d’ancrage ethnographique de cet article est la grisi siknis, une crise de transe hallucinatoire que les Miskitos du Nicaragua perçoivent comme une maladie contagieuse. La contagion de la grisi siknis se produit par l’exposition à ses images, qu’elles soient évoquées au cours de la transe ou représentées sur un support matériel. Par une méthodologie expérimentale, j’ai suivi le processus de fabrication des dessins représentant les visions de la grisi siknis, une pratique qui a été interprétée comme une thérapie par mes interlocuteurs. Loin d’être des représentations inertes, ces dessins sont des interfaces vivantes à l’ontologie différentielle, permettant au spectateur de percevoir comme réel ce qui pour l’auteure cesse d’exister. L’image visionnaire, alors, devient un espace de reconfiguration du Soi, où les frontières entre sa propre conscience et le monde extérieur sont constamment renégociées. En avançant la notion de dérèglement orchestré des attentes, cet article propose un modèle du façonnage interactionnel du sens de Soi par le truchement de l’image. |

| Summary, etc. | What order of reality can be attributed to visionary images obtained without psychotropic intake? In which ways does the production of artifacts shape visionary experiences? What are the intersections between the seen and the believed? The ethnographical focus of this article is grisi siknis (GS), a hallucinatory trance seizure perceived by the Miskitos of Nicaragua as a contagious disease. Grisi siknis contagion is produced by exposure to its images, whether they are evoked during the trance or represented on a material support. By adopting an experimental methodology, I studied the transformation of grisi siknis visions into graphic representations. The practice of drawing has been interpreted as a therapy by my interlocutors. Far from being unanimated representations, grisi siknis-induced drawings are living interfaces characterized by a differential ontology, as the object of representation can be perceived as existent by the observer while it ceases to exist for the author. Visionaries images, thus, become spaces of Self-reconfiguration, where the boundaries between subjective consciousness and the external world are constantly renegotiated. By the notion of orchestrated disruption of expectations, this article proposes a model of the interactional, image-mediated shaping of the Self. |
