| Summary, etc. | RésuméÀ partir d’une recherche qualitative auprès de couples dont au moins un conjoint est régulièrement absent du foyer familial pour raison professionnelle, nous nous proposons d’étudier l’interdépendance entre les modes de vie familiaux et cette mobilité. Nous recourrons pour ce faire à la notion de ‘carrière familiale’. Cette dernière renvoie aux interactions entre les événements de la vie conjugale et familiale et la carrière professionnelle de chacun des conjoints. Elle permet d’appréhender les ajustements et les négociations dans le couple quant à l’investissement de la sphère familiale et professionnelle. Cette recherche constitue une entrée pertinente pour l’analyse des nouvelles formes d’emploi, de leur articulation aux différentes sphères de la vie sociale et des rapports sociaux de genre. |

| Summary, etc. | Family career and professional geographical mobilityStarting from an in-depth study of couples where at least one spouse is regularly absent from the family home for professional reasons, we propose to study the interdependence between family lifestyles and this mobility. In order to do so we will use the concept of “family career”. This refers to the interaction between events in married and family life and the professional career of each couple. It makes it possible to understand the adjustments and the negotiations within the couple in their involvement in the family and the professional sphere. This research is a pertinent approach to an analysis of the new forms of employment, of their articulation to the various spheres of social life and gender relations. |
