D’un bout à l’autre de la chaîne, ces tapis passent du statut de production artisanale à celui d’œuvre d’art. La construction de la valeur des tapis va de pair avec une occultation des tisseuses qui permet aux marchands d’exploiter les inégalités en termes social, ethnique et de genre. Cet article interroge les catégories d’art et d’artisanat et s’intéresse particulièrement aux questions de l’imitation et de l’appropriation de la production.
