Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article a pour objet d’analyser le processus de subjectivation impulsé par une politique de discrimination positive en Nouvelle-Calédonie. Il est centré sur les parcours de femmes kanak de plus de 30 ans qui sont engagées dans des formations au métier de conductrice d’engin minier. La politique de formation continue crée des conditions matérielles qui permettent aux femmes de prendre conscience que les rapports de domination ne sont pas inéluctables. Elles s’appuient sur leurs rêves d’enfance pour oser postuler à des formations qui subvertissent la division sexuelle du travail à laquelle elles ont jusqu’alors été assujetties. Dans un second temps, l’activité de travail, parce qu’elle est socialement valorisée, entraîne une transformation du rapport à soi et aux autres dans l’action. |

Kanak women’s access to continuing educationThis article analyzes the process of subjectivization initiatied through a policy of positive discrimination in New Caledonia. It focuses on the training of Kanak women who are 30 years old and older, and who learn to become drivers of mining machines. This policy of adult education creates material conditions that make the women realize that it is not impossible to transform relations of domination. Inspired by their childhood dreams, this women dare to request training courses that change the traditional sexual division of labor. Then, the very activity of working, because it is socially valued, brings about changes in their relationships to themselves and to the others. |

El acceso de las mujeres kanak a la formación continuaEste artículo tiene por objeto analizar el proceso de subjetivación impulsado por una política de discriminación positiva en Nueva Caledonia. Se centra en los recorridos de las mujeres kanak de más de treinta años que se encuentran enroladas en formaciones para ser conductoras de máquina de minería. La política de formación continua crea condiciones materiales que permiten a las mujeres de tomar conciencia que las relaciones de dominación no son ineludibles. Ellas se apoyan sobre sus sueños de infancia para atreverse a postular a formaciones que subvierten la división sexual del trabajo a la cual ellas han estado sometidas hasta ahora. Luego, la actividad de trabajo, porque es socialmente valorada, acarrea una transformación de la relación a sí misma y a las otras personas en acción. |
