Summary, etc. | Cet article est une mise en perspective his-torique : il s’agit de rappeler ce qu’a été la méthode de l’enseignement mutuel pour mieux comprendre en quoi aujourd’hui ceux qui peuvent s’en réclamer s’en distinguent et s’en inspirent. L’exemple du département de la Somme est pertinent parce que la méthode a été tôt expérimentée, a servi de modèle et a perduré bien après la loi Guizot. On présente ainsi les pratiques pédagogiques des moniteurs et la discipline pratiquée, les résultats obtenus, les limites de la méthode et les problèmes rencontrés. |

Summary, etc. | A short history of monitoring teaching : the exeample of the Somme department in France. This article tries to present an historical view of the question: it remembers the sense of this special method of learning for today. The example of the Somme department is pertinent because the method has been soon used, has been a pattern and has keep still after the Guizot law in 1833. We present so the pedagogic experiences of the monitoring system, the issue of the method, the limitation and the difficulties of this way of learning. |
