| Summary, etc. | Comme en bien des territoires, l’académie d’Amiens n’a pas existé de façon continue : entre deux périodes d’autonomie où le siège rectoral est situé à Amiens, l’administration de l’Instruction publique, puis de l’Éducation nationale est rattachée à Lille, Paris ou Reims, ce qui ne facilite pas la naissance d’une identité régionale. C’est en effet à cette lente naissance que l’on assiste, naissance qui accompagne non seulement le retour des recteurs mais également le développement d’un enseignement supérieur de plein exercice alors qu’il était très peu développé depuis le XIXe siècle. Quelques recteurs ont contribué particulièrement à cette naissance ou à cette renaissance : cet article s’efforce de caractériser leur action. |

| Summary, etc. | The succession of the Chief Education Officers in the Education Authority area of Picardie since 1808. As noticed in so many areas, the Amiens Board of Education has not constantly existed : in between two periods of complete autonomy when the Head of all the Chief Education Officers was situated in Amiens, the administration of State Board of Education was brought under the authority of the Board of Education of Lille, Paris or Reims, which in fact didn’t make it easier to build up a identity. Indeed that’s the period when we can notice the witness of the coming out of a full Higher Education Authority which was rather underdeveloped at that time, in the 19 th century : some historians witnessed the coming back of the role of all the Chief Education Officers. A few of them have particularly played an important part in this new birth : the following article will emphasize their roles. |
