| Summary, etc. | Cet article vise à décrire, dans une perspective didactique, la manière dont est formalisé le sujet apprenant dans les Instructions Officielles de 1923 à 2008. Pour cela, les données constitutives de notre corpus de recherche sont composées des désignations des apprenants consignées selon les différents textes prescriptifs et les disciplines scolaires. À partir d’une analyse de données, et plus précisément, une analyse lexicologique quantitative, nous décrirons l’évolution des dénominations des apprenants dans l’espace de la prescription, notamment par le biais des désignations d’enfant et d’élève afin de montrer en creux comment le sujet apprenant y est institué. L’analyse donne à voir des résultats pouvant se présenter sous la forme d’une périodisation : une première période allant de 1923 jusque 1960 que nous pouvons considérer comme l’avènement de l’enfant, une deuxième période de 1960 à 1990 constituant la transformation de l’enfant à l’élève et, enfin, une troisième période à partir de 1990 que nous identifions comme la formalisation du sujet didactique. |

| Summary, etc. | This paper focuses on describing, with a didactical objective in mind, the way learning subjects are constructed in the Instruction Officielles or official texts emanating from the Ministry of education between 1923 and 2208. Our corpus has been built up out of the terms used to designate learning subjects in different prescriptive texts and school disciplines. A quantitative analysis of this lexicon enables the description of the evolution of the way in which the learning subject has been designated by prescriptive instances, in particular the use of “children” and “pupil”, as this shows in negative how the learning subject is actually constructed by these institutions. The analysis offers up a series of periods : first from 1923 to 1960, the era of the child, then from 1960 to 1990, which can be seen as the age of transformation of the child into the pupil, and then, since 1990, a period which we can identify as that of he formalisation of the subject of didacticism. |
