| Summary, etc. | RésuméLa question de l’existence d’une théorisation de l’adolescence chez Freud ne constitue pas un champ d’exploration simple a priori, tant il suppose une lecture seconde des textes de Freud. Seuls en effet Les Trois Essais consacrent un chapitre à cette question, dont on peut néanmoins relativiser le propos tant il semble s’associer à un souci comparatif en faveur de la sexualité infantile. Des raisons épistémologiques peuvent apporter une compréhension à cela, le « concept » d’adolescence n’étant pas encore pertinent à l’époque de Freud. Pourtant, la lecture attentive de quelques textes repris dans cet article viendra indiquer la voie d’une théorisation possible de l’adolescence, sinon apporter des éléments consistants à son développement. Le propos de cet article est d’en rechercher les différentes expressions, toujours incidentes et conjoncturelles. Cette recherche se fera à partir d’une lecture précise de quelques articles de Freud – principalement issus de La vie sexuelle, mais également des Nouvelles conférences d’introduction à la psychanalyse (La féminité) – retenus par nous comme significatifs (répondant donc à une sélection non exhaustive sur ce sujet), résolument pris à des moments différents de la théorisation de Freud pour en souligner le caractère permanent et insistant, même si soumis à une évolution naturelle dans la formulation. Cette théorisation implicite de Freud de l’adolescence ne trouvera d’intelligibilité que confrontée aux acquis théoriques depuis disponibles, notamment ceux apportés par Jacques Lacan. Elle ouvre à la définition du Féminin comme spécificité du pubertaire, venant comme un au-delà du phallique instauré dans l’enfance, c’est-à-dire référé à un réel pubertaire. |

| Summary, etc. | The question of the existence of a theorisation of adolescence in Freud does not constitute a an ex ante field for straightforward exploration, in so far as it pre-supposes a second reading of Freud’s texts. Indeed, only the Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality devote a section to this question, though we may, nevertheless, relativise what it has to say in so far as it seems to correspond to a comparative concern in favour of infantile sexuality. Epistemological reasons may contribute to understanding thisas the « concept » of adolescence was not really relevant in Freud’s time. However, a close reading of some texts reproduced in this article should help show the path forward for possible theorisation of adolescence or even contribute elements consistent with its development. The aim of the present article is to seek out the various ways this is expressed – always incidental and circumstantial. This search is through a careful reading of some articles by Freud mainly from Sexuality but also from New Introductory Lectures on Psychoanalysis (Femininity) that we have retained as being significant (thus answering to a non-exhaustive selection on the matter), expressly taken from different periods in Freud’s theorisation to stress their permanent and insistent nature, even though there is natural change in the way things are formulated. This implicit theorisation by Freud of adolescence will only become intelligible when confronted with theoretical advances that have been achieved since then, especially those provided by Jacques Lacan. It opens up to the definition of the Feminine as a specific feature of puberty, coming from a beyond the phallic as initiated in childhood, that is referenced to a reality of puberty. |
