Summary, etc. |

Summary, etc. | For a social psychology of communication The psychology of communication is a problematic that emerged in the 1990’s from the work of social psychologists and analysts of discourse. Its analyses and observations show that we are first and foremost beings who communicate, act, and think in a world of signs, of gestures, and of signifying objects whose signification is presumed, but negotiable in relation to the types of contracts of communication that are operative in the context of given social structures. Emphasis is placed on the predominance of interactionist and interlocutive structures, along with the primacy of the multiple possible strategies for the cognitive and affective actions of receivers faced with the discursive and gestual or iconic productions of emitters. This orientation has special applications for the verbocentred activities that are given particular mention here : media reception ; health or road-safety prevention ; reception of advertising, protection of the environment, management of conversations, etc., but also for those that are praxeo-centred : organization of work on machines and structuring the cooperation of those who carry out interventons, implantations in space and gestual programming, etc. |
