| Summary, etc. | Résumé Cet article étudie le public d’une exposition sur l’immigration espagnole en France : ses motivations, ses attentes et son regard sur l’exposition. À l’exception de quelques visiteurs venus pour des raisons professionnelles, le public s’est majoritairement déplacé en raison de sa proximité avec l’histoire présentée, qu’il s’agisse de migrants, de descendants de migrants ou de leurs proches, tous étant d’une manière ou d’une autre en quête de leur histoire. Pour autant, leurs regards et leurs interprétations divergent. Ils convergent en revanche sur l’absence de lecture de cette exposition en termes de reconnaissance de leur histoire. |

| Summary, etc. | This article studies the public visiting an exhibition on the Spanish immigration in France: what their motivations and expectations were, and how they perceived the exhibition. Apart for some visitors who came round for professional reasons, the public mainly went to this exhibition because they were closely related to the history it presented. Primarily, they were migrants, descendants of migrants, their close family members, or friends, being all in search of their history somehow. However, their visions and their interpretations diverged. In contrast, they converged on the fact that they did not consider this exhibition as an event contributing to the recognition of their history. |

| Summary, etc. | Resumen Este artículo estudia el público de una exposición consagrada a la inmigración española en Francia, interrogando las razones de su visita, sus expectativas y la mirada que echa sobre la exposición. Dejando de lado algunos visitantes motivados por razones profesionales, la mayoría tienen enlaces con la historia presentada, siendo ellos mismos inmigrantes, hijos de inmigrantes o personas de su entorno, compartiendo todos un interés por su historia. Si sus miradas e interpretaciones son distintas, se aproximan al no considerar esta exposición como un acto de reconocimiento de su historia. |
