| Summary, etc. | This article aims to examine the question of the subjective construction of psychiatric patients, based on a Foucauldian conception of the experience of madness as a form of subjectivation in an open space of power relations, which calls for an ethics or rather an “aesthetics” of care. In what senses, obviously multiple, can we say that madness is a “technique of the self”, a fiction caught between imposed truths and their incessant re-elaboration, projecting a style of existence and multiple forms of identity? What “truths”, what forces of veridiction, are mobilized in this construction? We will briefly analyze the history of an important concept in contemporary philosophical and political thought: the “agency”. This concept will allow to reflect on the clinical practice with regard to the subjects at stake. We will then relate this concept of “agency” to the notions of subjectivation and technique of existence, to consider the possibility of a Foucauldian re-elaboration of subjective experience in the field of mental health. |

| Summary, etc. | Le présent article se propose d’interroger la question de la construction subjective des patients psychiatriques, en prenant appui sur une conception foucaldienne de l’expérience de la folie, conçue comme une forme de subjectivation dans un espace ouvert de relations de pouvoir, qui demande la position d’une éthique ou mieux d’une « esthétique » du soin. Dans quels sens, évidemment multiples, peut-on dire que la folie est une « technique de soi », l’expression d’une fiction, prise entre des vérités imposées et leur réélaboration incessante, projetant un style d’existence et des formes d’identité ? Quelles « vérités », quelles forces de véridiction sont-elles mobilisées dans cette construction ? Nous analyserons en première instance l’histoire d’un concept important dans la réflexion philosophique et politique contemporaine : celui de « agency », « agentivité ». Cette notion ouvre des approches importantes pour repenser la théorie et la clinique « psys » au regard précisément des sujets qui y sont en jeu. Nous mettrons ensuite ce concept d’agentivité en relation avec les notions de subjectivation et de technique d’existence, pour réfléchir à la possibilité d’une réélaboration « foucaldienne » de la pratique et des expériences subjectives autour de la santé mentale. |
