| Summary, etc. | Karina Horsti analyse deux sculptures liées à la tragédie des migrants en Méditerranée en ce début du xxiesiècle. At crossroads, a été érigée Porte de Brandebourg à Berlin en 2009 : l’artiste Kalliopi Lemos avait superposé des épaves de bateaux récupérées sur l’île de Chios. Porta d’Europa, de Mimmo Paladino, est un monument dressé sur la côte sud de l’île de Lampedusa. Karina Horsti travaille sur le devenir artistique et mémoriel d’une actualité traumatisante. Elle considère ces deux sculptures comme des réponses commémoratives qui prolongent la temporalité événementielle des discours d’information.L’imaginaire de la frontière que ces deux œuvres exposent prend sous le regard de Karina Horsti les contours d’une géographie humaine qui amplifie historiquement et politiquement le seul point de vue médiatique. |

| Summary, etc. | In this article, Karina Hörsti analyses two sculptures dealing with the current Mediterranean migrant tragedy. At crossroads has been installed at the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin in 2009: the artist Kalliopi Lemos superposed two boat wrecks from the Chios island. Porta d’Europa from Mimmo Paladino, is a monument constructed at the Southern coast of the Lampedusa island. Karina Hörsti works on how recent traumatic events become artistic and parts of memory. She considers these two sculptures as being commemorative responses extending the temporality of news media texts. By analysing the imagination of the border that both art works contain, Karina Hörsti traces a human geography amplifying the media perspective from a historical and political point of view. |

| Summary, etc. | En este artículo, Karina Hörsti analiza dos esculturas dedicadas a conmemorar la tragedia de los migrantes en estos comienzos del siglo XXI. “ At crossroads” fue erigida en la Puerta de Brandeburgo en 2009: la artista Kalliopi Lemos superpuso los restos de barcos hallados en las costas de la isla griega de Quíos. “Porta d’Europa” de Mimmo Paladino es un monumento construido en la costa sur de la isla de Lampedusa. La autora trabaja así sobre el devenir artístico de una actualidad traumática ante la memoria. Considera dichas esculturas como respuestas conmemorativas que prolongan la temporalidad de las noticias y los discursos informativos. El análisis de las fronteras imaginadas que ambas esculturas convocan hace hincapié en toda una geografía humana que amplifica histórica y políticamente el simple punto de vista mediático. |
