| Summary, etc. | The purpose of this article is to explain, through the concept of metamorphosis, how life is in constant flux and continually recreating itself, shifting from one a state to another, both in terms of its nature and the most diversified forms of its structure. After reviewing various books in the social sciences, I wanted to study in greater depth several fundamental questions relating to life and what is often opposed to it: death. The use of the concept of metamorphosis helped me apprehend and illustrate in an evocative way the dynamics outside of time that transform life. The central argument of this article is that life has neither beginning and nor end. That everything that lives and surrounds us is impermanent and determined by interdependent relationships. Thus, by way of conclusion, I wished to point out that our humanity is based on harmonious cohabitation with all the living entities on earth, without which our continued presence in the world cannot be ensured. |

| Summary, etc. | Le propos de cet article est de montrer à travers le concept de métamorphose combien la vie est en constant mouvement et recréation d’un état à un autre tant au niveau de sa nature que de sa structure et de ses formes les plus diversifiées. Suite à diverses lectures d’ouvrages en sciences sociales, j’ai voulu approfondir ma réflexion sur certaines questions fondamentales relatives à la vie et à ce qui lui est souvent opposé : la mort. Le recours au concept de métamorphose m’a permis d’appréhender et d’illustrer de façon suggestive les dynamiques de transformation atemporelle de la vie. L’argument central de cet article s’appuie sur le postulat que la vie n’a ni début ni fin. Que tout ce qui vit et nous entoure est impermanent et déterminé par des relations d’interdépendance. C’est ainsi qu’en guise de conclusion j’ai tenu à rappeler que notre humanité est fondée sur la cohabitation harmonieuse avec toutes les entités vivantes sur terre, sans lesquelles la pérennité de notre présence au monde ne peut être assurée. |
