| Summary, etc. | À travers les expériences vécues de médecins et patients palestiniens, cet article retrace les effets du colonialisme dans le façonnement de la santé en Cisjordanie, entre dynamiques de destruction, remplacement et exploitation. Si l’occupation israélienne empêche l’établissement d’un système de santé fort en Palestine, la corruption des institutions palestiniennes et la privatisation de la santé limitent également l’accès des patients aux services de santé. Pendant ce temps, le système de santé israélien profite symboliquement et financièrement du tourisme médical des patients en provenance de la Cisjordanie et de la fuite des cerveaux des médecins palestiniens. En portant l’attention sur les économies morales de l’espace colonial, cet article analyse la manière dont l’occupation israélienne opère à la fois comme un pouvoir de destruction et d’attraction des pratiques et des désirs des Palestiniens liés aux soins, en faisant de la santé un outil de domination coloniale et symbolique. |

| Summary, etc. | Through the experiences of Palestinian doctors and patients, this article traces the effects of colonialism in shaping healthcare in the West Bank, between dynamics of destruction, replacement, and exploitation. While the Israeli occupation prevents the establishment of a strong health system in Palestine, the corruption of Palestinian institutions and the privatisation of health also limit patients’ access to health services. Meanwhile, the Israeli health system benefits financially and symbolically from the medical tourism of patients from the West Bank and the brain drain of Palestinian doctors. By focusing on the moral economies of colonial space, this article analyses the way in which the Israeli occupation operates as both a destroyer and an attractor of Palestinian healthcare desires and practices, turning health into a tool of colonial and symbolic domination. |
