| Summary, etc. | Les études menées sur le couple gémellaire s’intéressent au fonctionnement des enfants, à leur développement, à leur identité, mais peu d’entre elles se focalisent sur la spécificité d’être parents d’enfants jumeaux. À partir d’une revue de la littérature scientifique nationale et internationale de 1960 à 2011, cet article propose de mettre en lumière les particularités du rôle de mère d’enfants jumeaux. Il montre également que les pères, en rompant la relation triadique mère-enfants, instaurent une dynamique singulière. Dans ces familles où deux enfants naissent en même temps et ont les mêmes besoins au même moment ou de manière décalée, les pratiques éducatives présentent diverses spécificités et nuances qui gagneraient à être étudiées finement. |

From a review of the national and international scientific literature from 1960 to 2011, the article highlights the specific features of the role the twins’ mother plays. It also shows that the fathers, as they break with the triadic relationship with the mother and children, create a special form of dynamics. In these families, where two children are born simultaneously and can have the same needs either at the same time or at different moments, educational approaches can vary considerably and merit detailed study being devoted to them. |
