| Summary, etc. | De nombreux travaux ont démontré le bénéfice de la collaboration pour la résolution de tâches complexes ou exploratoires, impactant la définition des modèles de recherche d’information vers un environnement multi-utilisateur. Dans ce contexte, trois paradigmes ont été mis en avant, dont la division du travail basée sur les rôles, pour structurer la session de recherche et optimiser son efficacité. Dans ce papier, nous proposons d’étudier les caractéristiques de comportement d’une paire de collaborateurs sur la base d’hypothèses de leur complémentarité. Nous définissons ainsi la notion de rôles non labellisés, appelés aussi métarôles, qui sont (a) détectés en temps réel et (b) ensuite réinjectés dans un modèle d’ordonnancement de documents. Après avoir effectué une analyse préliminaire démontrant l’intérêt de notre approche, les expérimentations, menées sur des fichiers logs de sessions de collaboration réelles impliquant respectivement 25 et 10 paires d’utilisateurs, mettent en évidence l’efficacité de notre modèle comparativement à des stratégies de recherche individuelles ou à celles qui considèrent des rôles fixes et/ou prédéfinis. |

| Summary, etc. | Several work have highlighted the benefit of collaboration for solving complex or exploratory search tasks, impacting information retrieval models towards a multi-user setting. In this context, three main paradigms have been highlighted (e.g. the division of labor relying on task-oriented roles) in order to structure the search session and optimize its effectiveness. In this paper, we propose to analyze the search features of pairwise collaborators allowing to identify the implicit roles of collaborators according to research hypothesis based on their complementarity. We define the notion of collaborators’ meta-role which is (a) identified in real time and (b) re-injected within a collaborative document ranking model. After a preliminary analysis showing the interest of our approach, the experimental evaluation performed on search logs of real collaborative search session involving 25 and 10 pairs of users highlights the effectiveness of our model with respect to individual-based or fixed roles-based sessions. |
