| Summary, etc. | Both librarians and archivists have been managing the information explosion in ways that are often obscure to those unfamiliar with their occupations. Records Management emerged in the late 1990s as an opportunity to bring their respective practices closer together and to enhance the credibility of their role in overseeing the entire document life cycle, including the application of information management principles to all documents produced by an organization. The present dossier seeks to show that if standards are relatively stabilized, this emerging profession is developing new practices based on hands-on experience. Here we establish the basic operating principles and share a variety of professional experiences : readers can then decide for themselves whether to introduce this highly structured science in their own working environments. |

| Summary, etc. | Desde que la producción documental pasó a un desarrollo casi exponencial, los documentalistas y archiveros se encargan de gestionarla atendiendo a unos criterios a menudo mal definidos debido al desconocimiento de sus profesiones. La disciplina "records management" apareció a finales de los años noventa como una oportunidad de acercamiento a las prácticas de estas dos profesiones y de reasignar una legitimidad a la intervención de los profesionales del conjunto del ciclo de la vida documental dentro de la organización de los documentos producidos en función de las actividades de la entidad en cuestión y de los procesos de cada profesión. El objetivo de este dosier es demostrar que, si la norma se estabiliza relativamente, las prácticas de la nueva profesión pueden llegar a progresar a medida que se multipliquen las experiencias. Por tanto, la ambición es establecer sus principios y que se compartan las experiencias de diversa índole; que cada uno vea si, en su situación profesional, puede o no dar este paso tan estructurante para su actividad. |

| Summary, etc. | Seitdem die Produktion von Dokumenten begann, sich quasi exponentiell zu entwickeln, wird sie von Dokumentaren und Archivaren nach Kriterien gemanagt, die oft aus Unkenntnis der Tätigkeiten schlecht unzureichend sind. Das Konzept des „Records Management“ erschien seit dem Ende der 90er Jahre als eine Gelegenheit, die Praktiken dieser zwei Berufe anzunähern, sowie den Professionals in der Intervention im gesamten Lebenszyklus von Dokumenten eine neue Legitimation zu verleihen " einschließlich der Organisation von Dokumenten, die von Einrichtungen im Laufe ihrer Aktivitäten produziert werden, sowie der entwickelten betrieblichen Abläufe. Ziel dieses Dossiers ist es aufzuzeigen, dass die Norm sich zwar weitgehend stabilisiert hat, die Praktiken des neu entstehenden Berufs sich mit den praktischen Erfahrungen jedoch weiter entwickeln. Der Anspruch ist daher, die Prinzipien zu definieren, und die Erfahrungen verschiedener Natur zu teilen. Es bleibt jedem Leser vorbehalten, zu entscheiden, ob er dieses stark strukturierende Vorgehen in seinem beruflichen Rahmen umsetzen kann oder nicht. |
