| Summary, etc. | Cet article offre la transcription d’un manuscrit se trouvant dans les collections de la Bibliothèque nationale de France sous la cote NAL 1637 fos 248-249. Il s’agit des instructions que Pierre Gassendi a confiées à Samuel Sorbière en 1654 pour la publication de ses Opera omnia. Après avoir retracé les remaniements successifs du projet philosophique et éditorial de Gassendi, nous mettons en évidence les différences existant entre le projet de 1654, l’annonce de la publication telle qu’elle est présentée dans un prospectus de 1656 et la réalisation posthume de 1658. Les termes du contrat que Gassendi s’emploie à négocier sont également révélateurs de son intérêt pour l’histoire de l’Église. |

| Summary, etc. | An unpublished document on the project to publish Pierre Gassendi’s Opera omnia This paper offers a transcription of a manuscript found at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France under shelf number NAL 1637 fos 248-249. It contains instructions given in 1654 by Pierre Gassendi to Samuel Sorbière concerning the publication of his Opera omnia. After describing the stages in the reorganization of Gassendi’s philosophical and editorial project, I show the differences between the 1654 project, the publication announcement as presented in a 1656 leaflet, and the 1658 posthumous publication. The contractual terms Gassendi himself negotiates are also significant inasmuch as they reveal his interest in Church history. |
