Le texte per se resurgens ne reproduit pas un passage biblique mais est une allusion synthétique à un débat sur la résurrection du Messie qui s’était déjà produit aux premiers siècles et qui, à l’époque de Mellan, devint d’actualité dans le contexte des discussions trinitaires qui ébranlaient les théologiens des confessions chrétiennes. Cette étude reconstruit le problème théologique qui sous-tend l’un des chefs-d’œuvre de l’art graphique du xviie siècle. |

| Summary, etc. | Claude Mellan’s 1683 engraving of the Resurrection contains a legend that invites us to seek out the ideological motivations of the image. The phrase per se resurgens is not a citation of a biblical passage, but a synthetic allusion to a debate about the resurrection of the Messiah that had already arisen in the first few centuries AD and which, in the time of Mellan, had become topical within the context of the discussions of the trinity that so agitated the theologians of the Christian confessions. This study reconstructs the theological question underlying one of the masterpieces of seventeenth-century graphic art. |

| Summary, etc. | La Resurrezione incisa nel 1683 da Claude Mellan è corredata da una legenda che induce a ricercare le motivazioni ideologiche dell’immagine. Il testo per se resurgens, infatti, non riproduce un brano biblico ma è una sintetica allusione ad un dibattito che riguardava sin dai primi secoli la resurrezione del Messia e che al tempo di Mellan era ritornato di attualità nel contesto delle discussioni trinitarie che agitavano i teologi delle confessioni cristiane. Questo studio ricostruisce la problematica teologica che fa da sfondo a uno dei capolavori dell’arte grafica del XVII secolo. |
