| Summary, etc. | Le débat marquant de l’historiographie opposant essentiellement Furet et Soboul, exerce dès son introduction en Chine à la fin des années soixant-dix une grande influence sur l’étude de la Révolution française dans le monde universitaire. Pendant quarante ans, on assiste à un changement de positions chez les chercheurs chinois dont la plupart sont d’abord très favorables à Soboul, représentant de l’historiographie classique et qui polémique contre tous ceux qui dénaturent la Révolution française, notamment Furet. Néanmoins, à partir des années quatre-vingt-dix, s’impose une situation tout à fait contraire : conscients des effets négatifs de la Révolution française, certains auteurs commencent à se pencher sur la pensée furetienne dans laquelle domine l’idée de rompre avec les déterminations économiques et sociales et donc de considérer la Révolution française avant tout comme une rupture culturelle ; en découle une image complète et positive de l’historiographie « révisionniste » et de sa figure de proue. Si les travaux de deux générations témoignent du rejet puis de la vogue de Furet, on peut observer désormais une tendance à rééquilibrer les thèses soboulienne et furetienne. Un tel renouvellement générationnel, étape par étape, lié à l’évolution du contexte politique et social ainsi que du système de formation en 2e et 3e cycles, nous permet d’affirmer que la version chinoise de la controverse entre Furet et Soboul constitue un moment non négligeable de l’historiographie de la Révolution française. |

| Summary, etc. | From the time of its introduction in China at the end of the 1970s, the historiographic debate between Furet and Soboul has exercised a strong influence on the study of the French Revolution in the country's university world. During the last forty years, a change of attitude has occurred among Chinese researchers, most of whom were once highly favorable to Soboul, who incarnated the classic historiography and who had engaged in polemics against those he felt misrepresented the event, notably Furet. In the 1980s, the contrary situation emerged : aware of the negative effects of the French Revolution, certain authors began to incline towards Furetist thought that constitutes a rupture with social and economic determinations, and therefore to consider the French Revolution, above all, as a cultural rupture. With this development, a complete and positive image of the "revisionist" historiography and its leading figure has appeared. If the work of two generations show the rejection, then the vogue of Furet, a tendency to balance the Soboulian and Furetist approaches is now apparent. Such a generational renewal, step by step, tied to the political and social context, as well as to the education in the second and third cycles, confirms that the Chinese version of the controversy between Furet and Soboul constitutes a not insignificant moment in the historiography of the French Revolution. |
