Summary, etc. | L a culture d’évaluation pénètre depuis une trentaine d’années l’ensemble des services publics et en particulier l’univers scolaire. Les chefs d’établissement de l’enseignement secondaire sont particulièrement concernés par ce processus, au travers de nouvelles prescriptions en matière d’action éducative locale dont ils sont les relais et les animateurs. C’est à partir d’une enquête qualitative (entretiens, observation ethnographique) sur le travail des directions d’établissement que cet article propose d’envisager les enjeux et tensions de la diffusion de la culture d’évaluation au local. En effet, son mariage forcé avec l’action quotidienne en fait toute la spécifcité, empêchant de la penser dans les mêmes cadres analytiques que l’évaluation des politiques scolaires à l’échelle nationale et internationale. |

Summary, etc. | School leading teams facing local evaluation T he evaluation culture has been knowing a growing infuence in all public services and particularly in education, from the last thirty years. The headmasters of secondary school are particularly concerned by this process, through new requirements for efficiency for local education that they are required to relay and facilitate. This article proposes to consider the issues and tensions of the spread of evaluation culture at a local level through a qualitative survey (interviews, ethnographic observation) trying to analyse headmaster usual tasks. Analysing its compelled articulation with daily action, we can put into evidence some particularities ok local evaluation, preventing to understand it in the same analytical frameworks as national and international of school policies at national and international. |
