Summary, etc. | C ette note de synthèse se propose d’aborder, à travers quatre thématiques, l’état actuel de la recherche sur l’histoire du mouvement de l’éducation nouvelle en France. Après avoir questionné le sens de l’intitulé « éducation nouvelle », l’auteur s’intéresse au versant institutionnel de ce mouvement dont les associations pédagogiques et les écoles nouvelles en représentent les principales réalisations. Puis, la portée des propositions réformatrices de l’éducation nouvelle est analysée au regard des territoires conquis par leurs protagonistes dont l’identité est interrogée tant sur le plan du militantisme pédagogique que sur celui de ses relais dans l’institution scolaire. |

Summary, etc. | Updating research on history of the French pedagogical movement « Education nouvelle » T his note of synthesis studies, through four themes, the current research position relating to the history of the movement “Éducation nouvelle” in France. After investigating the significance of “Éducation nouvelle” , the author is interested in the institutional aspect of these educational associations whose main realizations are “les écoles nouvelles” (new schools). Then, the impact of the reforming propositions of the new education is analyzed on the areas conquered by their protagonists whose identity is questioned as well as educational militancy or its relays in school institutions. |
