| Summary, etc. | Since the coup in Niger in July 2023, two groups have come to the forefront of Niger’s political scene: the military and the jihadists. But we should not forget a third group, the Salafists, who are less visible from outside, but who have a real popular base and, like the first two, are also hostile to both the democratic system and Western supremacy. The Salafist ideology, which preaches intolerance, has gradually become unescapable in Niger, and aims to replace the secular State with an Islamic one. After recalling the evolution of relations between Islam and the State in Niger, this article describes the process of Salafization of everyday life in Niger, in both the social and public spheres. To date, however, Salafism has not directly penetrated the political arena. |

| Summary, etc. | Depuis le coup d’État de juillet 2023 au Niger, deux groupes d’acteurs occupent le devant de la scène politique au Niger : les militaires et les jihadistes. Mais il ne faut pas oublier un troisième pôle, les salafistes, moins visibles de l’extérieur, mais qui ont une réelle base populaire et qui, comme les deux premiers, sont eux aussi hostiles à fois au système démocratique et à la suprématie occidentale. L’idéologie salafiste, qui prêche l’intolérance, est devenue peu à peu incontournable au Niger, et voudrait substituer un État islamique à l’État laïc. Cet article, après avoir rappelé l’évolution des rapports entre l’islam et l’État au Niger, décrit le processus de salafisation de la vie quotidienne au Niger, tant dans la sphère sociale que dans la sphère publique. Mais, à ce jour, le salafisme n’a pas pénétré directement l’arène politique. |
