Summary, etc. | À l’école primaire, l’enseignement des sciences est connecté avec celui de français. Dans une perspective didactique, cette connexité est examinée grâce à une enquête historique menée à partir des sources que sont les programmes, les recommandations pédagogiques et les manuels scolaires de 1880 à 2000. L’analyse repère les liens et les tensions des « choses » aux « mots », les connexions qui se figent au fil du temps ainsi que les phases de développement des enseignements, leur pédagogisation puis leur didactisation. L’investigation suggère trois niveaux d’identification de cette connexité : celui de la connexité curriculaire fondée sur les priorités de l’école, celui de la connexité didactique qui précise les relations des contenus et la connexité d’ordre pédagogique, organisationnelle et programmatique. Cette investigation curriculaire discute également les notions de matière et de discipline pour l’école primaire. |

Summary, etc. | Objects and words at primary school : exploration of the linkage between science teaching and French language teaching (1880-2000). S cience teaching at primary school is linked with French language teaching. That linkage is investigated by an historical analysis of programs, pedagogical discourses and textbooks (1880-2000). The analysis reveals the links and the tensions between “objects” and “words”, the stabilized linkage during that time and the developments of each school matter, their pedagogical and didactic concepts. This research reveals three levels of linkage : curricular linkage based on school priorities, didactic linkage based on contents and pedagogical linkage, mainly oriented by organisation and programmatic choices. This curricular investigation also discusses the concepts of school matters and school subjects for primary school. |
