| Summary, etc. | Dans cet article, nous examinerons le matériel clinique de l’analyse d’une patiente souffrant de troubles alimentaires, avec une attention particulière pour les rêves qui ont émergé pendant le travail thérapeutique. Ces rêves ont donné vie au vide effrayant que la patiente ressentait en elle et qu’elle essayait de combler par la nourriture ou le désir de fusion avec l’autre. Pendant l’analyse, ces troubles alimentaires se transformèrent progressivement en affects et en émotions, des aspects d’elle que la patiente n’avait pas été capable de tolérer jusque-là. Plus la patiente a eu accès à ses rêves, et à la possibilité de ressentir, moins elle a eu besoin de recourir à son trouble alimentaire pour échapper à la part clivée de son monde intérieur qu’elle ne connaissait jusqu’alors que comme un « vide ». |

| Summary, etc. | Clinical material from the analysis of a patient suffering from Eating Disorders will be discussed in this paper, with a particular emphasis on the dreams that were emerging during the therapeutic work. These dreams were giving life to the feared void that the patient felt inside herself and was used to fill with food or with desire of fusion with another. In the course of the analysis they slowly evolved into affects and emotions, aspects of herself that the patient was not able to tolerate. The more the patient was able to dream, and then to feel, the less she needed to resort to her eating disorder in order to escape from a split off part of her internal world that she had known so far as a “void”. |
