Summary, etc. | Les auteurs commencent par revenir sur le parcours biographique de Fritz Redl puis décrivent les différentes étapes des publications de ce texte, de sa totalité en 1942 à des reprises partielles en 1955 et en 1962, avant la première traduction française en 1965. Après avoir passé en revue les grandes recherches sur les groupes en éducation et formation en France, ils mentionnent l’écho des travaux de F. Redl en sciences de l’éducation depuis la création de la discipline. Ils soulignent que la conceptualisation de F. Redl permet de dépasser l’idée que les élèves « leaders » dans les classes ont cette place uniquement du fait de leurs caractéristiques individuelles ou de leurs capacités à s’imposer. Son apport montre en particulier que cette place résulte aussi de la cristallisation de processus « émotionnels » communs à plusieurs éléments du groupe. |

Summary, etc. | The authors begin by reviewing Fritz Redl’s biography, then describe the various stages in the publication of this text, from its entirety in 1942 to partial revivals in 1955 and 1962, before the first French translation in 1965. After reviewing the major research on groups in education and training in France, they mention the echo of F. Redl’s work in the educational sciences since the creation of the discipline. They emphasise that F. Redl’s conceptualisation makes it possible to go beyond the idea that ’leading’ pupils in classes have this position solely because of their individual characteristics or their ability to assert themselves. In particular, his contribution shows that this position also results from the crystallisation of ’emotional’ processes common to several members of the group. |
