| Summary, etc. | La prison en tant qu’institution est mal connue. Pourtant, elle constitue à l’échelle sociale un étonnant miroir de nos psychismes individuels. En tant que projection de nombre de nos représentations sur l’enfermement, elle parle de notre rapport à la violence et au mal, à la fois dans la société et dans chaque psyché. Pour s’en rendre compte, il faut faire émerger les représentations et fantasmes, les actualiser à la lumière de la réalité du système carcéral. La détention est une expérience qui marque les détenus dans leur chair et dans leur psychisme. Au-delà d’une simple peine de détention, elle viole leur intimité, elle attaque leur autonomie et leur singularité. Pour quel profit pratiquons-nous cette violence institutionnelle ? Cet article questionne deux niveaux : comment les peurs et le rapport à la violence et à l’enfermement figent des fonctionnements collectifs et comment ces objets collectifs formatent nos structurations psychiques individuelles et notamment l’enfermement de nos zones d’ombre. Comment nous en libérer ? |

| Summary, etc. | Little is known about the prison as an institution. Yet it constitutes on the social scale an astonishing mirror of our individual psyches. As projection of many of our representations on confinement, it speaks of our relationship to violence and evil, both in society and in each psyche. For realize this, we must bring out the representations and fantasies and update them in light of the reality of the prison system. Detention is an experience which marks the prisoners in their flesh and in their psyche. Beyond a simple detention, it violates their privacy, it attacks their autonomy and singularity. For what profit do we practice this institutional violence? This article questions two levels: how fears and the relationship to violence and confinement freezes collective functioning and how these collective objects shape our individual psychic structures and in particular the confinement of our shadow areas. How do we free ourselves from it? |
