| Summary, etc. | En charge à la fois de la protection judiciaire de l’enfance et du jugement des infractions commises par les mineurs, le juge des enfants est confronté à la violence des adolescents, qu’elle soit dirigée contre eux-mêmes ou contre autrui. L’article proposé ici est issu d’une intervention lors d’une conférence consacrée aux conduites agressives et suicidaires des adolescents. Il a pour objet, en s’appuyant sur la présentation de la procédure pénale applicable aux enfants délinquants et de la procédure d’assistance éducative, de dégager quelques éléments de problématique sur l’accompagnement des adolescents dits difficiles et de rechercher les traits communs d’appréhension des conduites agressives ou suicidaires des adolescents et des réponses judiciaires à ces passages à l’acte. |

| Summary, etc. | Adolescent Violence: Suicidal and Aggressive Behavior from the Perspective of a Juvenile Court Judge. The Adolescent that Society Protects, the Adolescent that Society Protects Itself From.The Juvenile Court judge, responsible for legal protection of children and for judging infractions committed by minors, is confronted with adolescent violence directed either against the self or the other. This article is based on a paper delivered in a conference on adolescent aggressive and suicidal behavior. The aims of the article are, one, to sketch out some problematic features in dealing with so-called difficult adolescents, and two, to find common features in evaluating aggressive and suicidal behavior of adolescents and in judicial responses to such acting out. To this end, the article presents the penal code applicable to delinquent youth, and the process of educational support. |
