| Summary, etc. | Notre ère est « cybermoderne » : le virtuel et le réel s’intriquent à tel point qu’ils font notre monde, comme notre façon de l’appréhender, d’en profiter, de le changer. Société non plus « fluide » ou « liquide », mais translucide : faussement transparente – l’intime partagé n’en est pas vraiment un, mais du pseudo-intime composé en messages diffusables, du privé destiné à devenir public. « Translucide », aussi, au sens sorcier d’« extralucidité » : les traces virtuelles que nous laissons révèlent ce que nous sommes ; nos goûts et nos choix nous définissent et, massivement récoltées, définissent ce qu’est un groupe, un pays, l’humanité entière. L’auteur, philosophe, nous introduit au nouveau paradigme du siècle : la « transréalité ». À la fois un « Envoûtement profond » et une métamorphose riche en potentialités. |

| Summary, etc. | Our era is “cybermodern”: the virtual and the real become so entangled that they shape our world, like our way of comprehending it, of taking advantage of it, and of changing it. This society is no longer “fluid” or “liquid”, but translucent: falsely transparent–the shared intimate sphere does not really exist; but, rather, what we are dealing with is a pseudo-private domain, composed of diffusible messages, a private sphere destined to become public. “Translucent”, too, in the sorcerer’s sense of “extralucidity”: the virtual traces that we leave reveal what we are; our tastes and choices define us and, massively harvested, define what a group, a country, the whole of humanity is. Vincent Cespedes, a philosopher, introduces us to the new paradigm of the century: “transreality”. This is, at once, a “deep curse” and a metamorphosis that is rich in potentialities. |
