| Summary, etc. | L’objectif de cet article est d’approcher, d’explorer, de questionner le contenu des diverses formes d’expression de l’intimité – interpersonnelle ou groupale – que sont notamment l’amitié, l’amour, le sexe, mais aussi des formes hybrides comme la tendresse, l’empathie, l’altruisme... Le parti pris adopté ici est de considérer ces sentiments ou relations affinitaires comme constituant une configuration complexe au cœur de laquelle peuvent s’effectuer des « déplacements », transferts, transmutations, polarisations... n’excluant pas contradictions et ambiguïtés. L’approche principalement psychosociologique – empruntant plus particulièrement au chapitre des relations interpersonnelles – se nourrit complémentairement de références psychanalytiques et sociologiques. L’un des résultats de l’analyse conduit à admettre, au plan des représentations, des attitudes, des comportements..., la déconnexion qui tend à s’opérer, en raison de significatives évolutions culturelles dans notre société, au cours des trente ou quarante dernières années, entre la sexualité et les autres formes de l’intimité. |

| Summary, etc. | What is intimacy ? Friendship, love, and sexThe aim of this article is to approach, explore and examine the various ways in which intimacy is expressed – whether at an interpersonal or group level – in particular, friendship, love and sex, but also some hybrid forms such as tenderness, empathy and altruism... The viewpoint adopted here is to consider these feelings or close relationships as forming a complex configuration at the heart of which “displacements”, transferences, transmutations, polarisations, can happen... without excluding contradictions and ambiguities. The approach, which is mainly psychosociological – drawing particularly on the theme of interpersonal relations – is backed up by supportive psychoanalytical and sociological references. One of the results of the analysis leads us to accept, at the level of representations, attitudes and behaviour, the disconnection which has tended to take place, because of important cultural developments in our society over the last thirty or forty years, between sexuality and other forms of intimacy. |
