| Summary, etc. | Sollicité à deux reprises par Greenpeace, l’artiste Spencer Tunick a photographié des volontaires nus sur le glacier d’Aletsch en Suisse et dans le vignoble des Rontets en France. À partir des images prises in situ, des récits des bénévoles et des campagnes de communication de l’ONG, cet article interroge la contribution de ces rassemblements humains au débat public sur les questions environnementales. Une analyse de la rhétorique esthétique des corps dénudés comme incarnation de la vulnérabilité montre d’une part comment l’engagement physique et psychologique des participants joue un rôle primordial dans ces installations artistiques et militantes. D’autre part, ces performances s’inscrivent dans le savoir-faire communicationnel de Greenpeace où l’image est utilisée comme preuve des méfaits environnementaux et moyen d’interpellation. |

| Summary, etc. | In the late 2000s, Greenpeace requests the artist Spencer Tunick twice to involve the public opinion and the political decision-makers on the fatal consequences of climate change. The both performances, first at the Swiss glacier of Aletsch, second at a French vineyard, are part of the device for which the artist became famous: hundred volunteers, men and women, posing naked. From the narratives of the volunteers, the pictures taken throughout the events and the communication campaigns the purpose of this article is to question the participation of these human gatherings in the public debate about environmental issues. First it aims to study the aesthetic rhetoric of naked bodies as a symbol of the vulnerability, and to show the role of the physical and psychological commitment of these artistic and militant installations. Finally, the last part replaces these performances in the know-how communication policy of Greenpeace where image is used as a proof of the environmental misdeeds and a means to raise awareness. |

| Summary, etc. | En dos ocasiones, Greenpeace ha solicitado al artista Spencer Tunick para que retrate voluntarios desnudos en el glaciar suizo de Aletsch y en el viñedo francés de Rontets. El presente artículo aborda las fotografías de dichos eventos, los testimonios de los voluntarios y las campañas de comunicación de la ONG para analizar la contribución de estas concentraciones humanas al debate público sobre las cuestiones ambientales. El estudio de la retórica estética de los cuerpos desnudos como encarnación de la vulnerabilidad muestra cómo el compromiso físico y psicológico de los participantes juega un papel crucial en estas instalaciones artísticas y militantes. Tales performances corresponden por lo demás a la estrategia de comunicación de Greenpeace, cuyas campañas utilizan la imagen para probar los efectos de cambios climáticos y así despertar las conciencias. |
