| Summary, etc. | L’hymne au nouveau du discours social convoque à réexaminer ce que l’on appelle le « neuf », en sondant le signifiant. L’« air du temps » accrédite des mots- schibboleth à la mode, « pont aux ânes », tant l’idéologie a besoin d’une rhétorique pour « imaginariser » le réel. L’examen de ces notions new-look – pervers narcissique, burnout, résilience, border line, troubles bipolaires, etc. – permet d’en analyser le caractère descriptif qui, loin d’expliquer, bloque l’interrogation sur la prise du sujet dans son conflit. D’une part, cela permet de diagnostiquer une indigence métapsychologique de ces notions. D’autre part, une cartographie de ces mots a pour utilité de repérer les points névralgiques du « malaise dans la culture », tout en en produisant l’obturation, ce qui en assure le confort et le succès. Du même coup, la notion d’une « subjectivité de l’époque », introduite par Lacan comme formant l’horizon de l’acte analytique, permet de réaffirmer l’importance pour la psychanalyse d’être à l’horizon de son temps en ce sens fondamentalement opposé aux ritournelles idéologiques et en le démarquant du bien nommé « air du temps » auquel la psychanalyse est en position de résistance au nom du sujet divisé par le sexuel. |

| Summary, etc. | The hymn to the new in social discourse invites us to re-examine what we call the “new”, by probing the signifier. The “zeitgeist” lends credence to fashionable shibboleth words such as “donkey bridge”, because ideology needs rhetoric to “imagine” reality. An examination of these new-look concepts - narcissistic pervert, burnout, resilience, borderline, bipolar disorder - allows us to analyse their descriptive nature, which, far from explaining, blocks the questioning of how the subject deals with his or her conflict. On the one hand, this makes it possible to diagnose the metapsychological inadequacy of these notions. But on the other hand, a cartography of these words is useful for pinpointing the neuralgic points of the “malaise in culture”, while producing the obturation that ensures its comfort and success. At the same time, the notion of a “subjectivity of the age”, introduced by Lacan as forming the horizon of the analytic act, makes it possible to reaffirm the importance for psychoanalysis of being of its time, in the fundamental sense that it is opposed to ritornello, and distinguishes it from the aptly named “zeitgeist” to which psychoanalysis is in a position of resistance in the name of the subject divided by the sexual. |
