| Summary, etc. | N’est pas rêveur qui veut. À partir d’un travail ethnographique mené à 'Uvea, ce texte se centre sur l’expérience, l’énonciation et la réception des rêves. Le vécu onirique ne résulte pas d’une libre fantaisie du sujet affranchi du poids des contraintes sociales propres à l’éveil. Bien au contraire, les rêves n’ont pas d’existence tangible sans leur mise en mots et en récit, qui suit des principes participant de la socialisation langagière. Leurs enjeux sociaux dépendent du rapport entre l’espace du rêve et les espaces rêvés, c’est-à-dire entre l’endroit où le dormeur a sommeillé et les espaces où le rêve se déroule. Les expériences et les récits oniriques sont des pratiques de l’espace et orientent l’action. Leur déchiffrement éclaire les événements passés, présents et futurs. Intégrée à l’histoire locale, la circulation des rêves peut autant corroborer le réel et l’organisation sociale que les troubler ou les démentir, jusqu’à devenir l’objet d’innovations, d’inspirations et de prémonitions. |

| Summary, etc. | Not everyone can be a dreamer. Based on an ethnographic study conducted in 'Uvea, French Polynesia, this paper focuses on the experience, articulation and reception of dreams. Dream experiences do not come from the unshackled fantasies of the subject freed from the burden of social constraints of waking life. Quite the contrary. Dreams have no tangible existence unless they are put into words and framed in narratives that follow the main components of language socialization. Their social significance depends on the relationships between the space of the dream and the spaces dreamed, namely the place where the dreamer slept and the spaces where the dream took place. Dream narratives and experiences are practices of space and help to orient and place the action. Their decoding elucidates past, present and future events. Integrated into local history, the circulation of dreams can bear a significant corroborative effect on reality and social organization in a way that upends and belies them until they become the object of innovations, inspirations and premonitions. |

| Summary, etc. | No cualquiera es un soñador. A partir de un trabajo etnográfico realizado en 'Uvea, este texto se centra en la experiencia, la enunciación y la recepción de los sueños. La vivencia onírica no resulta de una libre fantasía del sujeto emancipado del peso de las obligaciones sociales inherentes al estado de vigilia. Al contrario, los sueños no tienen existencia tangible hasta que no se verbalizan y forman un relato respetando determinadas reglas que participan de la socialización lingüística. Los sueños tienen implicaciones sociales que dependen de la relación entre el espacio del sueño y los espacios soñados, es decir la relación entre el lugar donde el soñador durmió y los espacios donde se desarrolló el sueño. Las experiencias y los relatos oníricos son prácticas del espacio que orientan la acción. Su desciframiento aclara los acontecimientos pasados, presentes y futuros. Integrada a la historia local, la circulación de los sueños puede tanto corroborar como perturbar o desmentir la realidad y la organización social, hasta convertirse en objeto de innovaciones, inspiraciones y premoniciones. |
