| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | This article deals with the place of crisis in the field of Mental Health in order to support its function for the subject. We start from René Roussillon’s proposal to distinguish crisophilia from crisophobia. Then we focus on hippocratic medicine, Mesmer’s animal magnetism and British antipsychiatry. At the same time, we consider that the expansion of ‘para-crisis’ technique and treatment is a direct production of Mental Health paradigm, an equivocal phrase that defines contemporary issues of psychic suffering and its place within organising care discourses and social link. |
