| Summary, etc. | De notre place de médecins somaticiens également formés à l’abord psychodynamique de nos patients, nous proposons une réflexion sur le vieillissement essentiellement étayée par notre clinique. L’exposé d’un cas exceptionnel de vieillissement précoce et accéléré (PROGERIA-WERNER) illustre de façon paradigmatique les enjeux du processus pour chacun d’entre nous. Rejoignant les analyses de biologistes au plan cellulaire sur la lutte entre forces de vie et forces de mort,poids de l’inégalité et de la plurifactorialité nous évoquerons certains aménagements du sujet vieillissant pour affronter l’inexorabilité de l’involution et l’angoisse de mort,au plan intrapsychique mais aussi dans le domaine de la sexualité en privilégiant plus particulièrement à cet égard une approche différentielle entre les deux sexes. Enfin, nous resituerons brièvement la problématique du vieillissement dans le cadre d’une évolution sociétale qui incite à repousser les limites pour jouir d’une éternelle jeunesse. |

| Summary, etc. | As physicians with training in a psychodynamic approach to our patients, we propose a study or ageing based principally on our own clinic. The case of an exceptional occurrence of early and rapid ageing (Progeria-Werner) is a paradigm of the issues at stake for all of us in this process. Linking up with biologists’cellular analyses concerning the struggle between life and death forces, the influence of inequality and multifactoriality, we will mention certain adjustments made bythe ageing subject to face the inevitability of regression and the fear of death; this will be seen on an intrapsychic level and also in the domain of sexuality, taking, in this regard, a differential approach to the two sexes. Finally, we will briefly place the issue of ageing in the framework of the development of a society which encourages the pushing back of limits in order to enjoy eternal youth. |
