| Summary, etc. | Ce texte envisage la surdité comme paradigme pour penser la voix. Il s’intéresse plus particulièrement à l’impact, conscient et inconscient, du non partage des voix. Cet impact est repérable dans les conflits qui animent les professionnels de la surdité de manière récurrente, conflit autour de la « voix sonore » et de la « voix sourde » (Poizat). À travers les propos de professionnels, de parents d’enfants sourds et de sourds, nous essayons d’approcher cet impact ainsi que ce qui constitue la voix, dans sa matérialité et dans ses dimensions subjectives et intersubjectives. Pour les parents, leur voix est vécue comme représentant l’amour maternel, de plus porteuse des caractéristiques de l’intime et du lien de l’intime à l’universel. Le non partage des voix est vécu par l’inconscient comme une perte de sa propre voix et une rupture dans la transmission. On retrouve l’angoisse liée à l’idée de perdre sa propre voix chez les professionnels dans « l’effet écho » (Bernard, 1995), situation dépersonnalisante contre laquelle les professionnels chercheraient à lutter. Les remarques de Timothée permettent de réfléchir à une dimension corporelle et sensoriellement partagée, comme constitutive de la voix. Pour finir, est abordé l’investissement dans la voix des sourds et la surdétermination pulsionnelle auquel ce surinvestissement par l’entourage peut donner lieu, du côté de l’analité. Est évoquée alors la dimension profondément privée, du registre de l’intime, à s’exprimer oralement ou gestuellement, à moduler ainsi sa voix. |

| Summary, etc. | This text studies deafness as a paradigm for conceiving the voice. It focuses particularly on the conscious and unconscious impact of the non-sharing of voices. This impact can be seen in the recurrent disagreements between deafness professionals which centre on the « voiced voice » and the « unvoiced voice » (Poizat). We propose to study this impact via contacts with professionals, the parents of deaf children and the deaf themselves; we will also examine what constitutes the voice, both materially and in its subjective and intersubjective dimensions. Parents see their voice as representing motherly love, which also conveys the characteristics of the intimate and the link of the intimate with the universal. The non-sharing of voices is unconsciously experienced as a loss of one’s own voice and an interruption of its transmission. The anxiety linked with the idea of losing one’s voice is found, in professionals, in the « echo effect » (Bernard, 1995), a depersonalising situation which professionals are said to resist. Timothée’s remarks give rise to reflections on a corporal and, at the same time, sensorial dimension which make up the voice. Finally we investigate the cathexis in the voice of the deaf and the instinctive overdetermination which excessive cathexis can give rise to in those close to the deaf person, with regard to anality. We then consider the deeply private, intimate dimension of oral or gestural expression, of modulating one’s voice in this way. |
