Pourtant, il arrive que même des thérapeutes ou des superviseurs chevronnés se sentent bloqués, momentanément incapables de conceptualiser les dynamiques relationnelles et contextuelles dont font partie les symptômes et les difficultés. Nous proposons douze voies (cartes) comme outils conceptuels pour le thérapeute ou superviseur qui désire bousculer ses habitudes de voir les problèmes en termes individuels ; elles l’aideront à s’en détourner automatiquement pour poser des questions qui élargissent la perspective en y incluant la manière dont le comportement du porteur du problème est connecté avec celui des autres personnes signifiantes impliquées dans la situation. |

| Summary, etc. | Being able to understand interactional patterns that connect the behavior of one person to the behavior of others is basic to developing systemic strategies of intervention. And yet there are times when even seasoned therapists and supervisors can find themselves stuck, temporarily unable to conceptualize the relational and contextual dynamics of which symptoms and difficulties are a part. Twelve ways (maps) are offered as conceptual tools that may be useful when a therapist or supervisor find themselves in need of jogging themselves out of the habit of seeing problems as individual in nature, and as a way of shifting more automatically to asking questions that enlarge the picture to include how the behavior of someone with a problem is connected to the behavior of important others involved in the situation. |
